The OPPO Find X8 Mini has been in the news lately. But today, sources are saying the Find X8 Mini is in fact, the Find X8S. The reason for the alleged name change is due to the Find X9 being smaller than the Find X8.
In terms of tech specs, the Find X8S is said to boast a 6.3-inch display (which is in line with the leak two months ago), powered by a Dimensity 9400+ chipset and comes with an 80W wired fast charging technology. In addition, other information, such as the 50MP periscope lens, remains the same. Overall, DigitalChat mentioned that the Find X8S is mainly a thin and lightweight device.
On the other hand, there could be a Find X8S+ as well, featuring a 6.6-inch display. Sources said it would be using the same Dimensity 9400+ chipset and 80W fast charging support alongside a water and dust resistance rating. Moreover, the Find X8S could have a bigger battery with a capacity of over 5,700 mAh.
The Find X8S and Find X8S+ may launch alongside the Find X8 Ultra on 11 April 2025 in China first. It is unknown if OPPO plans to export these phones globally, particularly Malaysia, since the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are already here. Only time will tell so until then, we will be keeping an eye on it.
