OPPO dominated Southeast Asia’s smartphone market in Q3 2024 with 5.1 million devices shipped!

OPPO has come out as the market leader in Southeast Asia in Q3 2024, as data compiled by Canalys showed that the Chinese tech giant shipped a whopping 5.1 million units during the period. The number meant that OPPO held a 21 per cent market share in the region, with shipments increasing by 15 per cent year-on-year. 

According to IT Home, OPPO also recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 29 per cent thanks to its focus on affordable entry-level smartphones. Meanwhile, Samsung was ranked second with a 16 per cent market share, shipping a total of 4.1 million smartphones in Q3 2024.

In third place is Transsion, which includes brands such as TECNO, Infinix and iTel, with 4 million units shipped. Rounding up the top five are Xiaomi (3.9 million units shipped) and vivo (2.6 million units shipped).
