OPPO filed a patent called “Wearable Electronics” on September 2018, which hints at the possibility that we could see a smartwatch manufactured by OPPO with the ability to fold its display. Once unfolded, the display would be more than two times larger than the original screen size when done properly.
It is interesting to note that the smartwatch’s display unfolds towards the right side, which makes the operating experience different between left-handed and right-handed users. As of now, there is no Malaysia release date as well as pricing for the foldable smartwatch. Not only that, but the tech specs and features remain mostly a mystery as of now.
