With the advent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, more people have access and better affordability to get them. Foldable phones aren't exactly mainstream yet but OPPO may be the next player to release its own foldable phone. According to a leak by Digital Chat Station, it may be arriving sooner than later.

Previously, the rumoured news that we wrote about the OPPO foldable phone could come during the second quarter of 2021 but that didn't happen. In fact, there is barely any news about it so we can only assume that the company is still working on it. The last news post that we did was back in April, speculating that it could feature a 7 or 8-inch internal display.

Speaking of features, Digital Chat Station also said that OPPO has integrated a new LTPO internal folding screen. LTPO stands for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) and to refresh your memory, it's a type of technology that is more power-efficient that can turn off individual pixels on and off if it's not used. ColorOS 12 is also expected to be a part of the phone's software.

In addition, Digital Chat Station claimed that the OPPO foldable phone "will" appear next month. Since the date posted was 30 August, we may see it happening in September but we doubt so. Until then, do take this news with a grain of salt and stay tuned for the official news by OPPO. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
