OPPO to launch the R9s in Malaysia on January 5

Not only we will see one company launch their popular mid-tier smartphone, OPPO is also set to launch a model at the same time. The brand will be launching their OPPO R9s and possibly the R9s Plus locally in an event set to happen on the 5th of January.

The two phones were launched in China a couple of months ago, and we are set to see the two phones here in Malaysia. As a recap, Oppo R9s is a 5.5-inch device with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels behind a tough Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by the Snapdragon 625, 4GBs of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB. It has a 3010mAh battery inside, and can be charged with Oppo's VOOC fast charger.

Meanwhile the Oppo R9s Plus is a larger beast, It is a 6-inch smartphone with a 1920 x 1080 pixel display, the Snapdragon 652 processor, RAM up to 6GB and an internal storage of 64GB. It has a larger battery – 4000 mAh, and it also supports Oppo's VOOC fast charger.

Both run Oppo's ColorOS based on Android 6.0.1. The devices share the same camera – a 16-megapixel unit with a Sony IMX398 sensor at the front and back of the device. Both devices also have fingerprint scanners – located on the front home button.
