Looking to #TerminatetheRivals and nearly every other budget smartphone maker, Lazada Malaysia recently revealed the Xiaomi Mi 9T 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant for a shocking early bird offer of RM1099 on 25 June 2019. Does this disrupt the Malaysian market? YES! Is it official? Not just yet, because while it may have appeared on Lazada, we haven’t seen it appear on the Mi Malaysia Facebook page or their official site.
For a refresher on the Mi 9T tech specs, even the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage Mi 9T features a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, a 6.39-inch full display, a 20MP front-facing pop-up camera, 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple rear cameras and a 4000 mAh battery. Just so that you take this with a good amount of salt, the Mi 9T previously appeared on Lazada at RM1299 so that RM1099 early bird price is definitely somewhat fishy.
No mention yet of the 8GB RAM or 128GB storage version yet either. We should learn more today during their official launch of the Mi 9T but for now, why don’t you discuss which price you think is more believable, RM1299 or RM1099?
