As you may know, WhatsApp isn't quite the most convenient messaging app around. Since you need your phone number to register, it's restricted to one device only. The company has been working on adding multi-device support to the platform since last year and it seems we may finally get it soon.

According to Wabetainfo, the latest Android version of WhatsApp Beta (2.21.1.3) has a preview of what the multi-device support could look like. There will be a new privacy policy that users have to agree as well, which is the data sharing policy that we mentioned yesterday. There is also going to be an update to the platform's terms of services in February 2021, so maybe we'll get more details then.

Anyway, WhatsApp may have renamed the feature as "Linked Devices". The company has allegedly started to roll out a beta version for WhatsApp Web too, allowing you to have access to the service via your PC and phone simultaneously. You'll be able to access it on your PC even if your phone is not connected to the Internet, which is quite convenient.

Since WhatsApp is starting to test multi-device support for PC, linking your account to multiple mobile devices should be the next step. We still don't know when the feature will officially be available though. Having said that, what other feature would you like to see added to WhatsApp?
