Olympus has just updated its Stylus series retro style camera lineup with the all new Olympus Stylus SH-2. The earlier model, Olympus Stylus SH-1 was announced a year back. The company has retained the same retro looks and styling on this new model as its predecessor. Most of the tech specs are also similar. The Olympus Stylus SH-2 features a 16MP 1/2.3-inch image sensor and a 3-inch 460K dot screen at the back. It will have a 25-600mm zoom lens and 5-axis image stabilization to prevent camera shake. The SH-2 is capable of recording full HD 1080p videos at 60fps. Like the SH-1, this particular model will also feature integrated Wi-Fi. The camera supports automatic as well as manual exposure settings. It even features a new Nightscape scene which is ideal for shooting pictures and videos of the night sky lit with fireworks or stars. The highlight of the new model is the support for RAW shooting which was absent in its predecessor. The Olympus SH-2 will be available in silver plus black and all black editions. It will go on sale from April this year for a price tag of $399.99 (RM1479). The company has yet to announce any official details about Malaysia pricing and release dates of the device just yet though.
