With all the news about Netflix trying to get rid of password-sharing among Netflix freeloaders, we just got the surprise news of the newly announced price slash for one of the plans. If you're using Netflix Basic, you're in luck because it's now RM28 per month.

Initially, the monthly payment for Netflix Basic was RM35. Although the price was decreased, the features remain the same. To refresh your memory, you can only watch and download Netflix on one (1) supported device at a time. The resolution is still in HD and you will have access to unlimited movies, TV shows, and mobile games, as well as ad-free TV shows and movies.

As for the other Netflix plans, there are no changes to the monthly payment for Mobile, Standard and Premium. The following prices for each of these plans are RM17, RM45 and RM55 per month and if you would like to read more, you can visit the official Netflix Malaysia plans and pricing webpage right here

Netflix initially wanted to charge Netflix users extra top-ups for sharing with other users outside of their designated single household. But it was met with an uproar because the primary user would have more than two or three devices to watch Netflix. Previously, the support page for it was allegedly uploaded by "mistake" and it has since then been removed.

At the moment, Netflix is still figuring out how to work on the password-sharing rules. Until then, we just have to wait and see what happens by the end of the first quarter of 2023. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
