Some news of the OnePlus 12R surfaced last month and confirmed that the phone would launch on 23 January 2024. This is expected to be a flagship-class device but will retail at a lower price than most flagship phones. Here are some more details of the phone.

In an official post, OnePlus revealed some features of the OnePlus 12R (OnePlus Ace 3 in China). The phone will feature an "ultra-thin" under-display fingerprint sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, dual stereo speakers, and dual-frequency GPS. OnePlus will also provide three major Android OS updates in 4 years, meaning up to Android 16 if it launches with Android 13.

Design-wise, the OnePlus 12R will sport extremely narrow bezels for its flat display. It will also have a flagship-grade metal frame to pair with the Gorilla Glass, so we can expect it to be as robust as good flagship phones. From the images provided, we also see that the OnePlus 12R will arrive in a bronze/rose gold-coloured variant to go with the black and blue variants announced last week. Previously, some tech specs for the phone were also leaked.

Now, what we'd really like to know is - How affordable will it be? If it's below RM2500, this could be a flagship phone worth going for. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates.
