A few weeks ago, it was announced that the OnePlus 13 series would launch on 7 January 2025. This year, the company's newest flagship series will feature the OnePlus 13R. And this time, it's got some notable changes.
As announced last week, the OnePlus 13R will debut on 7 January 2025 with the OnePlus 13 series. Interestingly, the new R-variant model will sport flat edges with rounded corners. In comparison, last year's OnePlus 12R sported rounded edges. It's also confirmed that the phone will have a large 6000mAh battery, plus a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset instead of the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite.
According to Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 13R will also have an upgrade in the camera department. Specifically, the 2MP macro camera will be replaced by a telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. This camera uses a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, while the main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor.
Since the OnePlus 12R was launched here last year, we might get the new OnePlus 13R in Malaysia too. If we do, would you be interested in getting one? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
