OnePlus is preparing to shake up the flagship smartphone market once again, confirming that the upcoming OnePlus 15 will feature a groundbreaking 165Hz OLED display, co-developed with BOE. This next-generation panel, part of BOE’s Oriental Screen X3 series, aims to set new standards for clarity, responsiveness, and eye comfort.
The OLED 165Hz Display
On OnePlus' Weibo account, the OnePlus 15’s 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen offers a 165Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, dynamically adjusting from 1Hz to 165Hz depending on usage. It supports Dolby Vision, Pro XDR, and HDR10+, delivering lifelike colour reproduction and stunning contrast across all types of content.
Brightness peaks at 1800 nits, ensuring visibility even under strong sunlight, while BOE’s new Smart Eye Protection 5.0 Gold certification and hardware-level 1 nit minimum brightness make it one of the most comfortable displays for extended viewing. The display also features TÜV Rheinland certification for blue light reduction and flicker-free performance.
Other Features
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Early tests reveal the device can sustain nearly 165FPS in supported games like Call of Duty Mobile, Delta Force, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Beyond raw power, the OnePlus 15’s display is optimised for touch latency and frame consistency, enhancing responsiveness during fast-paced gameplay. The display also supports HDR-grade colour calibration and 10-bit colour depth, appealing to content creators who rely on precise colour accuracy for photography, design, and video work.
OnePlus 15 Launch
OnePlus has not unveiled the launch date yet, but there are reports saying it may happen on 13 November 2025. Moreover, we also expect the company to release more teasers in the coming days. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
