Yup, you heard that right - OnePlus just confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will officially launch on 23 March 2021. As always, it will be a livestream event happening globally at 10 AM EDT, 2 PM GMT and 7.30 PM IST.
On top of that, OnePlus also confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will be using Hasselblad in terms of camera software. In case you didn't know, Hasselblad is one of the most reputable camera companies and the last time that they were involved with a smartphone brand was with Motorola. The video teaser below seems to focus a lot on low-light photography with good lighting.
According to sources, the OnePlus 9 series is going use a custom Sony IMX789 camera sensor which is able to support 12-bit RAW shooting, 4K at 120FPS and 8K at 30FPS recording. Plus, Natural Colour Calibration which is a Hasselblad software is said to be integrated within the phones. With this partnership with Hasselblad, OnePlus hopes to create more new camera features.
