Smartphone brands are all-in on AI nowadays, and OnePlus is the latest one to enter the game. Called the OnePlus AI, it will oddly debut first on the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 13s, scheduled for 5 June 2025 in India.
A quick visit to the official web portal unveils a couple of AI tools. The "Plus Mind" is an AI assistant that allows users to save and organise information such as schedules, events, and locations into a centralised "Mind Space." This feature can be activated via the new "Plus Key" or a three-finger swipe gesture. The Plus Key will also replace the traditional alert slider, enabling quick access to various functions, including AI features.
In addition to that, a collection of AI-powered tools will be available in the AI Toolkit. This includes AI Speak, AI Summary, and AI Writer, designed to assist with tasks like reading articles aloud, summarising content, and generating text in different tones. OnePlus AI also includes several other features such as AI VoiceScribe, AI Call Assistant, AI Reframe and AI Best Face 2.0, which are self-explanatory.
Furthermore, OnePlus plans to integrate Google's Gemini AI assistant into its native apps like Notes and Clock. To ensure user data privacy, OnePlus employs Oppo’s Private Computing Cloud, combining local and cloud-based processing with encryption and user-controlled data management.
While the OnePlus 13s will initially launch in India, the company intends to roll out its AI features to other devices and regions through software updates. The AI Toolkit is already available on select devices running OxygenOS 15, including the OnePlus Nord 4 series. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
