OnePlus Ace 3 release - SD 8 Gen 2, LTPO AMOLED & 100W charging from ~RM1697

OnePlus today launched its latest mid-range offering in China, the OnePlus Ace 3 with some incredible specs for its price range. The device will be launched internationally as the OnePlus 12R and you can find out more about the new smartphone below. 

The Ace 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with either 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Under the hood, there’s also a 5500mAh battery with support for 100W SUPERVOOC 2.0 charging via the USB-C port.

The display is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED with a 1240 x 2772 pixels resolution and 1600 nits peak brightness. There’s a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the panel and a 16MP selfie shooter housed in the punch-hole cutout at the top centre. 

The main camera setup is the 50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro at the rear. Other notable specs include Android 14 via ColorOS 14, dual SIM, WIFI 7, 5G connectivity, NFC and colour options of either black, blue or rose gold. 

In China, the Ace 3 starts at CNY2599 or ~RM1697 for the base 12/256GB and goes up to CNY3499 or ~RM2283 for the specced out 16GB/1TB model. Do expect some differences for the global version aka the OnePlus 12R.
