With the upcoming OnePlus 8T 5G launch on 14 October 2020, many speculations are claiming that the 8T Pro variant won't happen. Traditionally, there would always be a pro variant and looks like that will be the case. This was confirmed by OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu on the Weibo forums.

This started when one Weibo user asked OnePlus if there is going to be pro version, which was answered by the CEO himself just this morning. Besides from answering that there won't be an 8T pro this year, he also added in that those who still want the pro variants can still choose the OnePlus 8 Pro that was launched this year. Indeed, the OnePlus 8 Pro is still a highly competitive flagship even in the second half of the year, featuring a Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB + 256GB memory capacity and more at a better price than most flagships.

So far, we know the OnePlus 8T 5G will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display, 65W Warp Charge technology, USB Type C port and a twin battery pack. There's a good chance that the Snapdragon 865+ chipset is on board too but we shall see. We are not that far off from the global launch. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
