Earlier rumour has suggested that OnePlus is finally planning to enter the smartwatch market after many years. Now, the good news has arrived with the CEO confirming that the company is indeed working on a smartwatch after all. Other than that, the CEO has also revealed that the wearable will come with Google's Wear OS.

In an interview with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, he confirmed that a OnePlus smartwatch is in the making. It is mentioned that the reason for the watch to take this long is because of the Wear OS as there is still a lot of room to improve. They are working with Google to try to improve the connectivity between Wear OS, Android TV, and Android smartphones.

The OnePlus smartwatch is expected to feature a round body with not much other information known at the moment. Furthermore, it is claimed that the smartwatch could be arriving alongside the upcoming OnePlus 9 series that is going to be launched in March 2021. However, we still have to wait for any official announcement to confirm the rumour.
