The OnePlus Nord 2 from last year was a decent mid-range device. But in a packed mid-range market, it didn't do much to stand out from the crowd. That's probably why OnePlus is looking to upgrade its successor - the OnePlus Nord 3.

According to Digital Chat Station (via GSMArena), the OnePlus Nord 3 will come with several upgrades. One of them is a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The display would also have a punch-hole on the upper left for the front camera. This is an overall upgrade over the OnePlus Nord 2, which had a 6.43-inch display that has a max refresh rate of 90Hz.

The core hardware specs could also get a huge upgrade. DCS claimed that the OnePlus Nord 3 would feature the new Dimensity 8100 chipset. As usual, this would be paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. Besides that, it would have the same 50MP+8MP+2MP triple camera setup at the back, 150W of fast charging, and an under-display fingerprint reader.

OnePlus is expected to launch this sometime in Q3 2022. Of course, there are no official sources that can confirm all these details yet, so take them with a grain of salt.
