Just late last night, OnePlus finally announced the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G alongside other gadgets such as the OnePlus TV Y1S series. In this article, we will be focusing on the phone so here's everything you need to know.

In a much bizarre OnePlus livestream event, the phone got revealed quite late in its cinematic short video. The Nord CE 2 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which is 5G-ready, as well as a 6.43-inch 90H AMOLED display. Later on after the phone's introduction scene, it was revealed to have a 4500mAh battery supporting a 65W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. This Nord phone is also keeping the headphone jack and 1TB expandable storage slot.

On the other hand, the primary camera is 64MP which is also accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor. The selfie snapper is 16MP and supports some familiar camera software such as Portrait Mode and Dual-View. The Nord CE 2 5G is also running on OxygenOS 11.3 and it's quite outdated mind you since it's based on Android 11. That said, the company will deliver two major Android updates in the future.

In terms of price, there will be two variants - 6GB + 128GB (for India only) and an 8GB + 128GB model. Releasing in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue, the starting price is 349 Euros (~RM1660), 299 Pounds (~RM1702) and 23,999 Rupee (~RM1338). We can expect the Malaysian price range to be somewhere around there, more or less.
