One of the most highly-rated foldable smartphones last year has got to be the OnePlus Open but if you’re awaiting its successor this year, you might just have to wait a bit longer. This is because the Open 2 is touted for release next year rather than in 2024.

This is according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station who took to Weibo to reveal the alleged insider info. Specifically, the tipster claimed that the Open 2 will only launch in Q1 2025, which is up to 9 months after the Open was launched.

Besides that, Digital Chat Station also said that the successor would feature an upgraded hinge, a thin design and a folding screen with less crease. He added that the Open 2 will also sport a high-resolution cover screen and potentially a periscope camera.

Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet by OnePlus. Until more info is available, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news such as this.
