After departing from OnePlus, Carl Pei is now preparing for a project that is exciting but at the same time, vague. The OnePlus co-founder has announced a new brand that is named 'Nothing' today. Other than the captivating name, he revealed 'nothing' else about what kind of technology products or services that the brand will be launching.

Nothing is a London-based consumer technology company joined by the likes of iPod inventor Tony Fadell, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, and YouTuber Casey Neistat as investors. According to Carl Pei, the company aims "to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future". From the statement, we suspect that Nothing will be launching an ecosystem of devices in the future.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Carl Pei's new company will have something to do with music such as manufacturing headphones. However, he has later declined it by saying that he has plans that are “so much more than that.” For now, rather than taking wild guesses, we should just wait until the official announcement to confirm what exactly on Earth that the company is going to sell.
