The OnePlus 9 series may still be a few weeks from launching, but plenty of details have begun to appear. Previously, it was rumoured that the OnePlus 9 will come with a 48MP at the back and a 16MP camera at the front. Now we have a leak hinting on new features for the camera app.

According to XDA Developers, an APK teardown of the latest OnePlus Camera app revealed that there would be five new camera features. These features are Focus peaking, Hyperlapse, Moon mode, Starburst, and Tilt-shift mode. We haven't seen anyone uploading sample shots taken with the new features though, so we don't know how exactly the features would work.

However, the code strings in the app do briefly explain what some of them are supposed to do. Tilt-shift lets you capture a photo of a scene and make it look smaller than it really is. As for Starburst, we guess that it lets you take photos with a light source in the background, without getting the starburst effect. Then there's Moon mode, which we assume would let you take better pictures of the moon at night.

Some of these new features could be interesting and highlight OnePlus' dedication in improving the cameras on its phones. Having said that, do you actually use the fancy features on your smartphone? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
