OnePlus has recently withdrawn the rollout of its latest OxygenOS 13 update after the firmware upgrade caused bricking issues on several OnePlus 9 series devices. The update, which is based on Android 13 was released in December 2022 and a OnePlus software team member on its community forum has advised users to not install the update.

As reported by GizmoChina, the firmware update labelled LE2111_11.F.19 for the 9 and LE2121_11.F.19 for the 9 Pro caused some of the devices to not boot properly. The OxygenOS 13 F.19 security update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro has also been paused in order to minimise the damage.

Users affected by the issue can reach out to a service centre or contact OnePlus for repair services in which the company can reverse the damage without any data loss. OnePlus has also announced that it will be releasing a new software update ‘as soon as possible’.
