At the Mobile World Congress 2023, OnePlus confirmed that a new foldable flagship device is in the plans this year. This was officially stated by Kinder Liu, who is the President and COO of OnePlus during a panel discussion.

In his own words, the said that the company's "first foldable phone will have the signature OnePus fast and smooth experience". On top of that, he also added that the device "aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today's foldable market".

During its panel discussion with the media, Lui also said that the OnePlus foldable phone will have a book form factor. With that, we think it won't look too much different from a regular Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and the OPPO Find N2. All in all OnePlus didn't really say much about its upcoming foldable phone.

If we have to guess, the new OnePlus foldable phone may be launched alongside the OnePlus T series as per tradition. That would typically be in the third quarter which is also reflected in the cover image above so until then, we can only sit tight and wait to check it out.
