OnePlus reveals the Nord Watch’s official specs ahead of its release

Previously, we reported that the upcoming OnePlus Nord Watch will feature a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with 500 nits of peak brightness. Now, OnePlus has revealed more details regarding the smartwatch, including its health tracking features, battery life and more. 

Set for launch tomorrow (28 September 2022), a microsite for the Nord Watch has gone live on OnePlus’ official Indian website which reveals most of the smartwatch’s specs. For the screen, it is confirmed to sport a 1.78-inch or 45.2mm AMOLED panel with a resolution of 368 x 488 pixels (326ppi).

Furthermore, the panel also supports a 60Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 500 nits which OnePlus claims can help in using the Nord Watch under direct sunlight. Besides that, the smartwatch is touted to have up to 10 days of battery life and up to 30 days of standby time, though OnePlus didn’t actually reveal the size of the Nord Watch’s battery.

In terms of health tracking, the wearable is equipped with the usual sensors such as SPO2, heart rate and stress monitoring alongside 105 different fitness modes. The microsite also teased a new feature that is most likely in relation to women’s menstrual cycle tracking based on the graphics.

The smartwatch will also be connected to users’ smartphones using OnePlus’ N health app. The app is available on both Android as well as iOS and OnePlus confirmed that over 100 online watch faces are available for the Nord Watch via the app. Moreover, the Nord Watch will connect to users’ smartphones via Bluetooth, with the wearable featuring Bluetooth 5.2. 

All of the above are the confirmed specs for the Nord Watch for now, with the full feature list and pricing to be unveiled by OnePlus tomorrow. Among the other features expected for the wearable include IP68 water and dust resistance, sleep tracking and sleep quality monitoring.
