Looks like Digital Chat Station recently released a statement on the user’s Weibo account, stating that the next OnePlus smartphone could come equipped with a MediaTek chipset instead of a Snapdragon chipset. As for which smartphone will come with the chipset mentioned, our source hinted that it will most likely be the OnePlus Nord 2.
With that in mind, we could see the upcoming OnePlus smartphone to be slightly cheaper than usual due to the fact that MediaTek chipsets are generally less expensive compared to their Snapdragon counterparts. However, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that OnePlus has yet to provide an official statement on the leak.
