Smartphones are getting better each year, even becoming capable of playing high-end games. But the one problem many of them have is heat. The CPU and GPU in chipsets generate a lot of heat, so a good cooling solution is important. For OnePlus, that solution is gonna be an external one.

On 7 February 2023, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus Ace 2, a flagship device with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This is currently the fastest mobile chipset on the market, and as you would expect, it generates plenty of heat. Enough that OnePlus feels it's a good idea to include a cooling back clip to go with it. This cooling clip runs on 27W of power and promises strong heat dissipation with overclocked performance on the phone.

Besides the chipset, the OnePlus Ace 2 also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. Another of its key features is the Sony IMX890 sensor, which comes with optical image stabilisation. The phone will also support lossless computation for RAW images, promising more vivid colours and details for photos taken.

For your info, the OnePlus Ace Pro was rebranded as the OnePlus 10T for the global market. So, we could also see this OnePlus Ace 2 launched here in a similar manner.
