It hasn't been long since Samsung released One UI 7, but One UI 8 is already being worked on. Samsung developers and some insiders have already begun testing it, and the public could get access to it earlier than some would expect.

Although the next Samsung Unpacked event is expected to happen in July or August, the beta version of One UI 8 could arrive as early as next month. According to @tarunvats33, inside sources claimed that the One UI 8 Beta program could be available as soon as June 2025. If true, the public can start testing and providing feedback on One UI 8 soon and get access to the new version earlier.

This doesn't mean that One UI 8 would be ready for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 later this year. Software UI tend to require weeks of testing before release, with the official release of One UI 8 estimated to be in August or September 2025. Samsung hasn't confirmed any new features or improvements yet. But it's interesting to hear One UI 8 beta described as "One UI 7.1 masquerading as One UI 8".

Regardless, anyone looking to buy the latest Samsung foldable phones this year would have to eventually upgrade to the new version, so let's hope it at least performs better. We'll keep an eye out for more updates on One UI 8 for now, but until then, stay tuned to TechNave.com for more tech news.
