The government will implement an online safety campaign in primary and secondary schools nationwide shortly. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the campaign was held to increase understanding and awareness among parents, teachers and school students about online safety to prevent them from falling victim to online fraud and crime. He added:
“In the next few weeks, there will be an awareness campaign in schools... We want them to not focus on social media, meaning no social media at the primary school level.”
Moreover, for the secondary school level, Fahmi said the government's focus is on exposure to how to use the Internet and social media safely.
