Things are getting more interesting in the AI master race. Recently, OpenAI and Microsoft ended their exclusive collaboration agreement that was signed in 2023. So, what should you know about it?

OpenAI is now open to multiple parties for partnerships and collabs

For your information, the new, modified agreement allows OpenAI to offer its models through other cloud services and is no longer exclusively on Azure, as was the case in the previous agreement. Microsoft, however, will remain the primary cloud partner until 2032.

Additionally, OpenAI will still pay 20% revenue sharing to Microsoft, but now with a cap until 2030. Revenue sharing is no longer contingent on OpenAI's technological advancements, including the removal of the AGI clause.

The new deal comes after OpenAI and Amazon signed a $50 billion AWS deal. Microsoft is reportedly considering legal action over the deal, which clearly violates the company's exclusive rights.
