Oracle Corporation recently released the latest MySQL Workbench 6.0. The open source design, development and administration tool provides data modeling, SQL development and comprehensive administration for server configuration, user administration migration and much more. The update follows up on more than 200 user inputs and requests from the MySQL community. The newest release offers a number of features and improvements which include:
- Redesigned user interface
- Vertical query results mode
- New Table Data Search
- Improved Server Status
The MySQL Community Edition is available for free under the General Public License (GPL) while the MySQL Enterprise Edition is available under subscription. MySQL Enterprise Edition users get additional features which include:
- MySQL Enterprise Backup
- MySQL Audit Log Inspector
