The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that more than 23000 book vouchers have been redeemed by students and pupils via the Digital Educational Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELIMa) app as of today. The Ministry added that the valid period for redemption and use of book vouchers for pupils and students in educational institutions under MOE is from 31 May to 31 December.

As reported by Bernama, MOE told those who haven’t redeemed the book vouchers not to worry as the deadline is still far. Furthermore, the Ministry also urged students to use the vouchers to get the best reading materials.

The initiative was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on 30 May, whereby RM50 and Rm100 book vouchers are given to students in Year 4 and above, secondary school students, students of higher education institutions and teacher education Institutes. MOE said the book voucher initiative could benefit all pupils and students in line with the government's desire to produce a knowledgeable, critical thinking and visionary generation.
