Recently, IDC has released very interesting statistics about PCs and Macs. According to IDC, the production of PCs has declined by almost 14%. So, what should you know about it?

Based on the report, Lenovo leads the data for PC production by 22.7%. This is followed by HP (20.4%), Dell (15.4%), Apple (8.4%) and ASUS (6.5%). All 5 main brands have recorded a decline in production compared to the previous year.

In addition, Apple was the most affected brand. The Cupertino company production has decreased by 22.4%. ASUS is the next in line, having recorded an 18.1% decrease. Plus, the decline in production is a worrying trend for the manufacturers. Previously, the production of PCs in 2022 has decreased by 16.5% compared to 2021.

We have yet to confirm why this trend continues. However, it could be attributed to the fact that most customers have bought PCs during the pandemic era. That said, that could apply to Malaysians in general. However, it seems the younger generations are more comfortable with mobile devices instead of the traditional PC.
