A huge investment worth RM10 billion
In the previous meeting, investments worth RM10 billion were announced for the development of green energy-based artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, leading to the establishment of the National AI Office and the launch of ILMU.
Thanks to the collaboration between YTL Power and NVIDIA, it also led to the successful construction of a world-class AI data centre in Kulai, Johor. Plus, this investment signifies a strong commitment between Malaysia, NVIDIA and YTL Power in building a competitive digital future and strengthening the country's Sovereign AI agenda.
Moreover, PMX reiterated its determination to make the country an AI leader by 2030, not just a consumer, but a creator of value and a driver of economic innovation. Besides that, the development of sovereign AI is also important to ensure digital sovereignty, data security and technological ethics.
In addition, the Prime Minister appreciated NVIDIA and YTL's contributions in accelerating the inclusive, ethical and sustainable AI agenda of CIVILIANs.
