POCO C3 to be unveiled soon as an entry-level gaming device

Back at the end of July 2020, we read rumours about a new POCO C3 phone that could be a revamped Redmi 9C. Things quiet down after that, but it seems that the phone is real and it's set to be unveiled on 6 October 2020 in India first. Here's what we know about it so far.

According to the tweet post, POCO India is promoting the POCO C3 as a "#GameChang3r" so it has to be for mobile gaming. Since it's for the Indian market, there's a good chance that this device is an entry-level phone so we aren't expecting a Snapdragon 700 series chipset. However, if the rumours are true, the phone might be the Redmi 9C.

Looking at the Redmi 9C, it features a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset which is for mobile gaming at its optimized level for budget-conscious consumers. On top of that, there's also a 2GB + 32GB memory capacity which is honestly too small for mobile gaming. But at least it has a 5000mAh battery pack inside and supports 10W charging.

Anyway, we are not that far off from the launching date so we will keep a lookout for that. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
