As the POCO F1 by Xiaomi smartphone is due for a reveal in Jakarta today, we spotted the Mi Store in IOI City Mall Putrajaya Facebook page flashing a #flagshipkiller hashtag image of what certainly looks like the POCO F1 Armoured Edition. Featuring a kevlar-based body, the POCO F1 Armoured Edition was recently revealed in India for 29999 INR (~RM1762) with the same Snapdragon 845 chipset, 12MP+5MP AI dual rear camera, 20MP Dual Pixel front camera, infrared face unlock as the normal polycarbonate POCO F1.
With all the hype, the POCO F1 is likely to be known as the POCOPHONE F1 if it does arrive in Malaysia and we expect both the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage Armoured Edition and the normal 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version to arrive, helping Xiaomi to flesh out their Mi 8 flagship killer range. How soon could it arrive in Malaysia? No exact Malaysia release dates were revealed yet but with the teaser by the Mi Store in IOI City Putrajaya, this could be very soon.
However, the POCO F1 did come with a similarly kevlar-like patterned case, so it could just be the normal version with said case so do take this with a pinch of salt.
