POCO F5 Pro will reportedly be a rebranded Redmi K60

Previously, we reported that POCO might be preparing to launch the POCO C50 next week and the POCO X5 series in February 2023. Now, another leak has claimed that the Xiaomi subsidiary will launch the POCO F5 series afterwards, which would be a rebrand of the recently released Redmi K60 series.

Shared by Kacper Skrzypek on Twitter, the tipster claimed that the F5 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K60 but is unsure about the identity of the vanilla F5 variant. If the Redmi K60 series were to be the basis for the POCO F5 series, the entry-level Redmi K60e would logically be the vanilla F5, but Skrzypek said that is simply not the case because the K60e is a China-exclusive device.

In fact, POCO may skip the vanilla F5 variant completely and only release the F5 Pro. Something similar has been done by the Xiaomi subsidiary before with the POCO F4 series, whereby no ‘Pro’ variant was released.

Therefore, it is not unlikely for POCO to just release the F5 Pro and not the vanilla F5. Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet.

If the POCO F5 Pro is indeed the rebranded version of the Redmi K60, then it’ll be quite a competitive smartphone in the price range. You can check out the full specs of the latter here.
