Last week, POCO announced the launch date for the POCO F6 series. The official launch of the POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro will be held in Dubai. But POCO gave us the details of the two phones' features and tech specs in advance. If you're interested in these phones, read on to find out what to expect.

POCO F6

The POCO F6 houses powerful hardware to deliver exceptional gaming performance. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a high-performance flagship chipset from Qualcomm with a powerful CPU and fast GPU for smooth gaming. It even has enhanced AI capabilities, allowing it to provide seamless performance in AI-powered apps, better performance in image or video processing, and more.

Although the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 isn't as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it still achieves top scores in benchmarks. If you need a device that can effortlessly tackle gaming, photography, video playback, and work productivity, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is more than up to the task. To cool the powerful CPU and GPU, the POCO F6 comes with the upgraded WildBoost 3.0 and LiquidCool Technology 4.0.

Of course, a powerful performance is not enough for an enjoyable gaming experience. The visual and audio experience must match, so POCO included a new 1.5K CrystalRes Flow AMOLED display for the POCO F6. This display promises excellent detail for text and images, as well as top-notch sharpness and clarity for mobile games. Moreover, the screen will deliver improved power efficiency.

But if you game longer than most people would, that's no problem either. The POCO F6 comes with 90W TurboCharge to go with a 5000mAh battery. That means you not only get a large battery capable of lasting very long but also relatively fast charging speeds to recharge the device. Even if you don't have much time, a 10-minute charge is enough for the phone to last through the day (assuming you're not gaming).

POCO F6 Pro

Next, let's talk about POCO's other new flagship. The POCO F6 Pro offers a slightly different direction for gamers and performance enthusiasts. It features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, an older chipset that can still deliver excellent gaming performance with its 3.2GHz CPU. The POCO F6 Pro also has a GPU with 35% faster performance and 25% faster AI performance than its predecessor.

Speaking of AI, the POCO F6 Pro has some AI-powered features like AI Portrait, AI Album Search, AI Album Editing, and Live Caption. If you like taking photos but don't know how to edit them, these features could be useful. Besides the chipset, the POCO F6 Pro offers a generous 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB internal storage. Overall, its specs are considered unmatched in its price range.

POCO went with a top-tier 2K Flow AMOLED screen, which delivers high-level visuals. This display offers significantly better clarity than competitors in its price range. With a peak brightness of 4000 nits, you can see the screen even under the brightest days. The display also supports 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, which reduces screen flicker for better eye health.

The POCO F6 Pro packs the same 5000mAh battery, enough to easily last a day and for you to squeeze in a gaming session or two. Its 120W HyperCharge adapter can quickly bring the phone to full health when its battery runs low. Just 15 minutes is enough to bring it from 0% to 50%, and 30 minutes is all it takes to completely recharge the phone.

Of course, gaming isn't the only thing the POCO F6 Pro is good at. This flagship phone also promises good performance in photography. It sports a Light Fusion 800 imaging system and a high-quality, lightning-fast burst shooting feature for detailed shots of those fleeting moments. There's also a Night Owl algorithm for clearer photos, even in low-light situations.

If that's not enough, the POCO F6 Pro also offers a new look. The new model has a visually striking double-sided glass and metal body, plus a quad-curved velvet glass back and a custom glass Deco around the camera module. The POCO F6 Pro is available in two colour variants - "Moonlight Shadow" and "Moonlight Silver".
