It has been a while since the release of the POCO M2 back in September 2020. Today, it is reported that the brand is going bring a "half-successor" to the marker soon as a device dubbed POCO M2 Reloaded has been discovered.

As spotted by XDA Developer senior member Kacper Skrzypek in the MIUI code, Xiaomi is currently working on the device and it could be launched as the new variant of POCO M2 for India later this year. For now, not much information regarding the tech specs is known but it's said to be better than the Redmi 9 Prime which is the device that POCO M2 is based on.

To recap, the POCO M2 features a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with 6GG RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It also comes with 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel, quad-camera setup (13MP wide + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro + 2MP depth) , 8MP selfie camera, fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, MIUI 11 based on Android 10, 5,000mAh battery, and 18W fast charging support.
