POCO M4 5G release: MTK Dimensity 700 SoC, 5,000mAh battery, and 50MP camera, starts from ~RM739

Launching the Pro variant of a smartphone before dropping the standard one might have become a trend in the industry. Earlier this year, POCO had launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G in Malaysia, but the vanilla variant didn't come along. Until now, the company only announced the POCO M4 5G for the lineup. Let's continue reading to know more about the device!

The POCO M4 5G is actually a rebranded Redmi Note 11E 5G but with a different front-facing camera and having the Android 12 on board. It sports a 6.58-inch display (LCD) with a 2408 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) for resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it gets powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. There's also a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Furthermore, the rear has a dual camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, it has a 8MP sensor on the front for selfies or video calls. The POCO M4 5G also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated MicroSD card slot, an IR blaster, an IP52 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, if you're wondering. Other connectivity features include 5G (7 5G bands), dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and a USB Type-C port.

The POCO M4 5G retails for 12,999 INR (~RM739) for the 4/64GB model and 14,999 INR (~RM853) for the 6/128GB model in India. It will be available in Poco Yellow, Cool Blue, or Power Black colour options. The status of the device's local availabiliy is still unknown, but we'll let you know once we receive the latest information.
