It looks like POCO will be releasing the POCO X5 series soon as a European retailer had already listed the devices as “coming soon”. The website may have accidentally published the page ahead of schedule, though thanks to the listing, we now know the X5 series’ specs.

As reported by GSMArena which spotted the listing, the X5 series will have a vanilla and Pro variant, with the latter set to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Furthermore, the X5 Pro will be offered in either a 6/128GB or 8/256GB variant. As for the vanilla X5, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 in the same memory configurations as the X5 Pro.

In terms of imaging, the X5 Pro features a 108MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro triple-camera setup at its rear and a 16MP selfie camera at its front. As for the X5, it sports a 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro triple-camera setup at its rear and a 13MP front-facing shooter.

Both devices have a 5000mAh battery, though the Pro variant supports 67W wired charging compared to the X5’s 33W. There’s no wireless charging on both.

Other notable specs for the X5 Pro include an IP68 rating and colour options of Blue, Black and Yellow. Meanwhile, the X5 has an IP54 rating and colour options of Green, Blue and Black. Both devices will run on Android 12 via MIUI 14.

There is no official launch date or price list just yet, so we just have to wait for an announcement from the Xiaomi subsidiary. Well, given that the details were already available to the retailer, we’d expect the X5 series to launch in the near future.
