Based on a statement by Manu Kumar Jain on his Twitter account, POCO has officially split from Xiaomi to become their own independent brand. With that said, we will no longer be seeing any Xiaomi branding on POCO devices from today onwards.
In addition to that, POCO also recently applied a trademark for the POCO F2 which hints that there is a high chance that the Pocophone F2 would most likely make its debut somewhere around 2020.
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!

What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.
