POCO has officially confirmed the battery capacities of its upcoming smartphones, the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max, ahead of their global launch event scheduled for 17 March 2026. The announcement highlights a strong focus on battery endurance, particularly for the Max variant, which is set to feature one of the largest batteries seen in a mainstream smartphone this year.

POCO X8 Pro Packs a Large 6500mAh Battery

According to the company, the POCO X8 Pro will come equipped with a 6500mAh battery, offering improved endurance compared to many current mid-range and upper mid-range smartphones. The device will support 100W fast charging. Previously, the phone will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, a 4nm processor designed to deliver a balance of high performance and energy efficiency.

POCO X8 Pro Max Focuses on Extreme Battery Life

The higher-end POCO X8 Pro Max will push battery capacity even further with a massive 8500mAh battery. Interestingly, the variant in the Indian market is even bigger, using a 9000mAh battery, backed by 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. The Max variant is also expected to feature a more powerful chipset, potentially the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, further reinforcing its position as the performance-focused model in the lineup.

Launch Expected on 17 March

Both the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max are expected to be officially unveiled during a global launch event on 17 March 2026, where the company will reveal the full specifications, pricing, and availability details. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
