Today, PRO-NET, a wholly owned subsidiary of PROTON Holdings Berhad, marked two major milestones at the Penang Autoshow 2026. The company introduced a new Jade Green option for the Proton e.MAS 5, while also debuting its Global Modular Architecture platform in Northern Malaysia for the first time.
New Jade Green Variant Expands e.MAS 5 Appeal
Taking centre stage at the event, the Proton e.MAS 5 was showcased in its new Jade Green finish, adding a fresh option to the model lineup. The EV continues to lead as Malaysia’s top-selling electric vehicle, with over 8000 units delivered year-to-date in 2026. It was displayed alongside the Emerald Green Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, further expanding the brand’s electrified portfolio.

GMA Platform Makes Northern Malaysia Debut
PRO-NET also presented its Global Modular Architecture platform, offering visitors a closer look at the technology underpinning its EV and plug-in hybrid models. Designed with flexibility and performance in mind, the platform features a highly integrated motor system, high-strength steel construction, and improved driving dynamics. The showcase aims to help consumers better understand how EV platforms differ from traditional internal combustion engine designs.
Test Drives and Campaign Incentives at the Event
Visitors to the Penang Autoshow can experience the full Proton e.MAS lineup, including the e.MAS 5, e.MAS 7, and e.MAS 7 PHEV, through on-site test drives running from 1-3 May 20216. Alongside the showcase, PRO-NET is running the Proton e.MAS Golden Test Drive Campaign, encouraging Malaysians to test drive and book a vehicle. The campaign offers a total of 30 gold bars as rewards over five weeks, adding an extra incentive for potential buyers.
