The PS5 is one of Sony’s latest entry for its gaming consoles. Since its debut in 2020, the PS5 has been a rare sighting on gaming store shelves. We can expect this since Sony is popular in the Malaysian market. Plus, rumours suggest that the PS5 Pro could arrive next year.

According to KeyToGaming, the development for PS5 Pro a.k.a Project Trinity started early last year. The report also says that progress went smoothly, and demo events for Project Trinity are already ongoing. Developing studios should receive their dev kits for the console this late November.

The report added that Project Trinity will aim for an “improved and consistent FPS at 4K”. The console could also feature a new performance mode for 8K. Interestingly, it might include 30WGP and 18,000mts memory. However, these are separate components for the PS5 Pro, and we have yet to find out about other specs. Because of this, the bigger picture of the console remains vague at the moment.

In addition, the report mentions that it could come in November 2024. While this is a delight for Sony fans in Malaysia, the Pro model might be an overkill. After all, we have yet to see any game that necessitates the need for a Pro variant.
