PSA: Don't believe all that you read today for April Fools, Google Snake + Alcatel 6 rear camera and more

PSA or Public Service Announcement time TechNavers, the 1st of April has long been considered April Fools and that seems to be a tradition with those in tech as well. Already we've got quite a few “interesting” announcements from Google and Alcatel, but checking through, they're probably fake news, so be careful what you believe in tech today.

Google's embargoed announcement since 29th said that they'd gamify their Google Calendar (with a music piano type game), Google Files (with a useless screen cleaner from the inside) and Google Maps (with a train snake game on the maps). However, checks to these apps didn't reveal anything of the sort.

Play Snake in Google Maps... NOT!

Alcatel on the other hand showed off a 6 rear camera smartphone with next to no details about it (like when it might come, what it might offer, how much, etc.). Have you spotted anything else? Let us know in our Facebook Page and let's discuss what other funny fake tech news we can spot this 1st of April.

That being said, there are companies that don't practice this, as we have actual events today here in Malaysia that indicate otherwise (OPPO 10X lossless zoom, Xiaomi Black Shark 2, etc). So, be careful about what you don't believe either today. We'll let you know, so stay tuned to TechNave.com.
