This year's CES 2020 had plenty of fancy bling and cool toys, with one of them from Panasonic. It was actually surprising to see the Japanese electronics company show something many wouldn't have expected them to work on: Virtual reality glasses

Developed in partnership with Kopin Corporation, the Panasonic's new VR glasses not only have Ultra HD resolution but also support HDR content. Panasonic explains that the VR glasses were designed to take advantage of 5G services that will be available in the years, if not months, to come. It also comes with audio built-in via some earbuds, allowing users to experience a variety of content while wearing a comfortable pair of glasses.

Speaking of comfort, Panasonic decided to design these to be as close to a normal pair of glasses as possible. This is because of the fact that most VR headsets we know are large and heavy, which could make it uncomfortable to wear. A smaller and lighter device will thus make it more suitable for long hours of use.

However, Panasonic showed off these new pair of VR glasses at CES 2020 as a reference product. It's more likely that the design will be licensed off to other companies, so a consumer product may take some time to appear. Still, would a VR device like this be more comfortable to wear for you?
