To revitalise the economic status of our country, our government has announced that the sales tax for locally-assembled vehicles and 50 percent reduction for fully-imported cars will be fully waived. With that being said, there is no doubt that the local brand Perodua would come into our mind. Today, the updated on-the-road prices of all the Perodua models have been revealed, and the deduction will be effective starting from 15 June to 31 December.
The list shows us the prices of the models by comparing the one with SST applied and the one without. You can see the price drop ranges from 3 percent up to 6 percent. Savings from the SST exemption begin from RM723 for an Axia 1.0 E manual. The model will now cost RM23,367 compared to the initial price RM24,090, which is a 3 percent reduction. The highest 6 percent reduction is applied for both Aruz 1.5 X Auto and Aruz 1.5 Advance Auto.
With the RMCO just started today, many sectors slowly begin operation as usual. To ease the aftermath brought by the pandemic, our government has also announced several plans to boost the country's economy.
