Merdeka Day is just around the corner and as always, you will see plenty of products going on sale. Although it's not the first time for Sony Entertainment Interactive Asia to do this, the PlayStation 5 models that are on sale this time are the slim variants.
Posted on its Facebook page, the PS5 Blu-Ray and Digital versions are on sale right now for RM2,260 and RM1,830, respectively. Comparing this promotion to last year, the discount is slightly cheaper than before as it was on sale for RM2,279. The PS5 Digital version was not on sale last year.
The promo sale will last until the 1st of September 2024 and can be purchased at select retailers. The Facebook post didn't mention which retailer is eligible but it's safe to assume stores such as Impulse Gaming, Gamer's Hideout, and even the official Sony stores should have this Merdeka Sale. Well, you can always go to your nearest gaming store and find out for yourself. Oh also, we are not a shop.
For your information, the original prices are RM2,499 and RM2,069 for the Blu-Ray and Digital models, respectively. So if you have been itching to get one, this is the most affordable price to get one right now.
