Huawei officially launched two variants, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 (1395 euros) and the Huawei Mate 9 (699 euros). They feature the new Kirin 960 processor and dual 20MP (monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) rear cameras co-engineered with Leica that have 4-in-1 Hybrid Auto-focus (Laser, PDAF, Depth, Contrast), 2X Hybrid Zoom, Leica Vivid Mode and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) tied to dedicated ISP chips. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 offers all this but stands out by offering a dual curved edge 2K display.
Both offer many world's first including the world's first smartphone with Mali G71 graphics, 3.5V - 5V/5A Huawei super charge that is also super cool (perhaps avoiding any potential explosions) and a one touch fingerprint sensor with 3-in-1 navigation. As promised, the Mate 9 powered by the Kirin 960 can now record 4K video. They will be powered by EMUI 5.0 and Android 7.0 Nougat with touch prevention so there won't be any mistouches. They are also Google DayDream VR ready.
